legend of toba lake
once upon a time, there was a man who was living in north sumatra. he lived within the easy hut within the farming field. the did a few gardening and fishing to his daily life.
sooner or later, whereas the man was do fishing, he caught a giant golden fish in her trap. it was actually the largest catch that he ever had in her life. surprisingly, this fish become a beautiful princess. he felt in love back with her and proposed her as being his wife. she aforesaid ; yes, even so you be required to promise not to firmly tell anyone in regards to the secret that i was just once a fish, otherwise there will just be a large disaster. the man created the deal and these got married, lived happily and enjoyed a daughter.

then she told her daughter to operate in the hills as a result of a large disaster was getting ready to return. when her daughter left, she prayed. soon there was a giant earthquake followed by non-stop pouring rain. the entire space got flooded and have become toba lake. she become a fish once more and also the man became the island of samosir.
